Do you believe it’s February already? Well, it is and – – – February is going to seem long because – – – it’s a leap year. Sooo (drum roll) Happy Valentines Day! and – – – Happy Leap Year.
Annual Meeting
And, if that’s not enough “Happys” for you – – – We’re happy to announce that the annual HOA general meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 11 at 7 PM in the “City Council Chamber” at City Hall.
You will be getting a quorum proxy in the mail in case you’re unable to attend. But, we believe you’ll want to attend because we’ll have a number of issues we plan to discuss and you’ll want to get your “2 cents” (in today’s dollars, that’s $6.32) in on several issues of importance to us all. We’ll also ask you to suggest items you’d like discussed at the meeting.
Watch your mail for that proxy envelope. It’ll tell you what we plan to discuss so you’ll have time to gather your thoughts.
Election of Directors
According to our CC&Rs – our 3 person board of directors is elected by the membership at large. Each position is for a 3 year term (One up for election each year to maintain continuity.).
Freddy Sanchez was appointed in November to fill a vacancy. His position expires as of the May general meeting. He plans to run for a full three year term. Anyone else who would like to run for that position should contact Director Caron Dwyer (425-948-7741) by March 7 to be put on the proxy. Nominations will also be taken from the floor at the meeting.
Election of Officers
The officers – President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer are elected by the board of directors for a one year term at or shortly after the meeting. If you would like to run for any of these positions, please let Caron know as soon as possible.
Immediate Vacancies
The positions of Vice President and Secretary are vacant at this time and we encourage you to step up immediately if you are interested in filling one of the two positions. Call Caron.
Also, there is a vacant position on the architectural committee we’d like to fill. Call Wendy Carr (425-773-7777).
Other News
In other news – the monument repair is scheduled for late March or early April (weather dependent).
Fences
In the event you’re anticipating some fence replacement this summer (a couple of people have mentioned it) the specs (based on our CC&Rs) are printed on the back and also available on the website.
