Hi Neighbors —
Hope your December was a good one, whether filled with family, friends and holidays or in a more quiet mode.
First we want to thank two board members who are stepping down mid-term – Flossie Crowther, after long time volunteering in various capacities and Steve Pennington, also a loyal volunteer. Their work is much appreciated.
Following our CCRs and bylaws the board has asked Caron Dwyer to complete Flossie’s term which will end May 2021. Caron has agreed. Also, the board has asked Freddy Sanchez to complete Steve’s term which will end May 2020. He has agreed. Thanks to both for stepping up.
In other news – the trees at the monument area have been trimmed and one removed. A job successfully completed and we thank Freddy Sanchez for heading and arranging that project.
The Mill Creek Estates Architectural Control Committee (ACC) is made up of three homeowners. It is the duty of the ACC to review and approve or disapprove significant changes in a members property’s exterior appearance. The ACC also is charged with assessing the exterior appearance of our homes and yards to maintain a well kept and neat look. They have suggested, even in winter, areas to watch and correct:
- Are your trash and recycle receptacles and other equipment out of view from the street?
- Do you have bushes or plantings that are encroaching on the sidewalk?
- Do you have trees that are low hanging, so as to hit walkers as they walk under?
The last two are City of Mill Creek rules, by the way.
Thanks for your cooperation.
We have 2 officer positions vacant at this time — Secretary and Vice President. If you’d be interested in filling one of these positions, please contact us personally or on the website (www.mceha.net) and we will fill you in on duties and responsibilities.
Again a reminder, we’re looking for someone to head up a Summer Picnic Committee. The kids had a wonderful time at the bouncy house at the 2018 picnic and the whole affair was warmly received. Let’s do it again!! Please contact us if you could head up this committee (or are willing to help on it).
And a big thank you to our webmaster Brian Lohr for the terrific job he’s doing with our website.
